Development & Communications Summer Internship

Our internship offers an excellent opportunity to learn daily functions within development, communications, marketing, and fundraising within a non-profit organization. You will get exciting projects and make a significant impact at Merrick, Inc. 

This internship will run 13 weeks during the summer semester, May/June - August/September. 

Merrick, Inc. Internship Offers:

• Monday - Friday, flexible day-hours, 20-hours per week. 
• No holidays or weekends! 
• $17.00 per hour.

Internship Responsibilities:

1. Assist with the creation of content for social media, email communications, and e-newsletters.
2. Assist with and post content on all social media platforms.
3. Assist with the development of content calendars for internal communications.
4. Update printed communication materials.
5. Support fundraising and company events, as assigned.

Internship Qualifications:

1. High School diploma and currently working towards a bachelor’s degree preferably in communication, journalism, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
2. Proficiency in multiple social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
3. Strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and organizational skills.
4. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products with knowledge in graphic design, website design, photography, and video production.
5. Ability to work effectively within a group or independently.

8. Ability to pass a criminal background check following a conditional job offer.
