Job Description

Summary:

Drives demand and new sales of Feeney products to regional and national architects, builders, general contractors, sub-contractors, and fabricators.  Responsible for commercial sales and sales support by qualifying incoming bid invitations, RFQ’s, follow through on opportunities, and ultimately responsible for providing commercial sales support by executing sell-through of Feeney, Inc. products to commercial projects. 

Required Skills:

·         Ability to quickly dissect large commercial architectural drawing sets including specification manuals to gather relevant information.

·         Ability to recognize potential engineering requirements and work with design team to offer effective solutions to meet project needs and specific application.

·         Architectural drafting skills and experience is preferred, but not required.

·         Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects at different stages of sales, design and fabrication processes.

·         Basic understanding of Building Code and the relation to Feeney’s product line.

·         Technically competent on basic computer programs such as word, excel, data entry, email programs, and company CRM/ERP system (NetSuite).

·         Previous construction/contracting experience a plus due to the technical nature of the business.

·         Ability to prioritize and multi-task while managing multiple projects at different stages of sales, design, and fabrication processes.

·         Experience with online digital commercial sales tools such as Dodge, Bidclerk or Reed (Now GonstructConnect/CMD).

·         Proficiency with Celigo and CAD preferred.

·         Typing competence, including the ability to write technically and grammatically correct emails, letters, and other written correspondence.

·         Provide technical support to customers on Feeney's products and product limitations.

·         Independent thinker and strong problem solver.

·         Must demonstrate strong organizational and attention to detail skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Execute Feeney’s Commercial Business Plan, with emphasis on developing and maintaining strong business relationships with key commercial contacts and meeting/exceeding sales goals and forecasts.
  • Assist in the development and implementation strategies with Commercial team to drive commercial transactional sales to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Be an expert on the materials, goods and services provided by Feeney, Inc. and its affiliates.
  • Work with the Commercial team to increase sales by suggesting additional materials as are needed and specific to project at hand.
  • Manage and maintain accounts verbally, with written correspondence and by using the NetSuite database and other media tools that have been provided.
  • Collect the proper documentation and associated paperwork.
  • Meet minimum sales quotas as defined by Feeney.
  • Direct communication/interaction with internal sales if/when needed.
  • Direct communication/interaction with drafting team.
  • Ultimately responsible for acting as an effective liaison between commercial field sales and Feeney drafting team.
  • Assist with initial project qualification, associated administrative data gathering and entry, and drafting/altering quotes.
  • Work with Purchasing Department to order special items for clients.
  • Attend Monthly Sales meeting or other company meetings, as required.
  • Attend marketing events and trade shows, as needed.  Travel as needed and required.
  • Learn and understand company policies and procedures as it applies to your role (i.e., lien notifications, credit applications, special orders, tax codes, PO’s etc.).
  • Special Projects as assigned.

Education & Experience

College Degree preferred

5+ years relevant work experience and/or background

 Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Commercial Construction, Sr. Estimator, Building, Technical Knowhow
