Job Description

KYOCERA SENCO Industrial Tools, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of industrial tools and fastening solutions. We are seeking a talented Industrial Sales and Service Account Manager to join our dynamic team in the Midwest region of the United States. As part of the SENCO sales team, you will have the opportunity to add and maintain sales accounts within the assigned territory.

Starting at $55,000 - 60,000 annually

Basic Function:

The role primarily involves acquiring new industrial accounts (80%) and managing existing ones (20%) within the designated territory, requiring the candidate to be a responsive contact, provide on-site mechanical solutions, and demonstrate products in a manufacturing plant environment as well as at trade shows. Qualifications include a minimum of five years of industrial sales experience, a willingness to travel 75%, mechanical proficiency, self-motivation for remote work, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • 80% of this role will be to secure new industrial accounts for the company throughout the assigned territory to achieve sales goals and profit sales.
  • 20% of this role will manage existing accounts in the assigned territory.
  • Be a responsive and prompt point of contact for purchasing and plant managers to existing and future clients.
  • While onsite with clients, provide mechanical solutions to any issues and troubleshoot any mechanical errors.
  • Demonstrate KYOCERA SENCO products and capabilities to prospective and current clients and travel to regional and national trade shows.
  • Develop sales and marketing plans, formulate proposals, and provide industrial expertise on sales calls.
  • Identify additional sales opportunities outside of traditional channels.
  • Communicate regularly with different departments throughout the company to support the customer and ensure the sales process is smooth from start to finish.
  • Manage inventory and ensure all sales reports are accurate and turned in on time.

Qualifications:

  • At least five years of industrial sales experience is preferred.
  • Willing to travel 75% of the time, with some overnight stays each month.
  • Mechanically inclined, a background in manufacturing or mechanics is preferred.
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair our products in manufacturing plants.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks and deadlines in a remote work setting.
  • Lives within the designated sales territory.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to walk through multiple manufacturing facilities in one sitting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to drive up to 250 miles a day.
  • Must be able to sit in a car for up to 4 hours at a time.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to climb, reach, pull, and squat regularly.
