This role is best suited for folks with strategic financial experience with businesses under $100 million in annual revenue.  If you have marketing / advertising agency experience, you’ll slot in especially quickly.

About the Position

We are looking for a financial leader to provide strategic financial direction for our growing 18-year-old agency on a part-time basis.  You will own all aspects of financials and work with other members of the leadership team, Controller, and department heads to improve profitability and revenue growth.

We follow the EOS operational model.  In this, the leadership team meets virtually once per week and in-person 1-2 days per quarter.  As a part-time position, the schedule has some flexibility outside of these set meetings.

Work will include:

• Strategic financial planning for maximizing profitability & revenue, and minimizing tax burden
• Forecasting & budgeting, including studying long-range economic trends to project their impact on future sales growth
• Building pricing models by service line and client segment
• Serving on the leadership team to steer the direction and future of the company
• Analyzing & directing the preparation of all financial statements
• Managing liquidity
• Risk assessment and management
• Due diligence in evaluating acquisition opportunities
• Overseeing a Controller

Who You Are

A positive, proactive force, you are always willing to pitch in to help and seek ways to improve everything.  Your communication skills are excellent, as you can make the complex easy-to-understand.

Your experience will include:

• 10-15 years in finance, including in a financial leadership role
• Working for or with professional services, with a preference for marketing agency experience
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, business accounting, or finance
• Professional certification (CPA preferred)
• Raising capital (preferred)
• Acquisition experience – due diligence and integration (preferred)
