About the Role: 


As the Creative Director of UX Design at CuraPatient, you’ll be joining our Products Department and playing a pivotal role in defining and executing the design strategy for our digital health products. The ideal candidate uses their expertise to deliver high impact, user features (of various scope) to improve all applications. You will lead our Senior UX/UI designer, be closely collaborating with product managers, developers, clients and stakeholders. You are an organized and agile designer who is data and application centric. You will be responsible for delivering design work in a high-scope, complex and ambiguous product area. You must have extensive knowledge and understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and composition for UX/UI design, web design and apps. You can create intuitive and impactful user experiences by demonstrating the ability to sketch ideas and turn brainstorming sessions into wire-frames and mockups. Your leadership and work will drive innovation and embody our mission to deliver user-centric solutions that enhance enterprise SaaS healthcare delivery. 



Success in this Role Looks Like:

  • Leading and mentoring the UX/UI and Products team with creative and holistic thinking across diverse product releases, platforms and devices.
  • Rapid prototyping to visualize thinking in real time, producing consistent high quality design solutions through wireframes, visual designs, flow diagrams, site maps, prototypes and high-fidelity mock-ups. Constantly evolving strategy, design and guidelines for all digital health products. 
  • Developing and delivering the entire design process from concept to launch, ensuring high standards of UX/UI quality and consistency across all digital platforms (particularly in the enterprise/SaaS/health tech space).
  • Ensuring compliance with health industry regulations and standards in all design elements, prioritizing user safety and data privacy.
  • UX/UI vision and planning for iterative updates that actualize the larger vision over time. Continuing to refine our processes.
  • Expert in designs that are consistent, paying close attention to details, communicating ideas, collaborating across teams, providing helpful feedback on processes with follow-up to make sure changes are completed correctly. 
  • Using your strong understanding of Design Theory and designing UI elements and tools, navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets for our digital assets
  • Partnering and cross-collaborating with internal and external teams to build the vision, ensuring product quality and implementing innovative designs
  • Testing UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages
  • Establishing, improving and maintaining creative standards, style guides and web templates
  • Performing other responsibilities as required



What You’ll Bring:

    • Minimum/must haves:
      • 5 years of: creating, managing/leading design assets, designing digital experience, products and platforms as a User Experience Designer or an  Interaction Designer.
      • 3 years of experience managing other designers
      • A strong professional portfolio of your UX/UI focused work samples for mobile and web applications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction or Cognition, Interaction/Interface Design, Communication Design or an equivalent degree and/or professional experience (at least 5 years of related experience highly preferred)
  • Experience working in a startup environment strongly preferred
  • Experience in HealthTech, Enterprise, SaaS or a related industry is highly desirable, with an understanding of relevant regulatory and compliance issues.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, capable of articulating design visions and fostering collaboration across disciplines
  • The ability to creatively solve problems in an artful way
  • Digital Guru who blends art, enterprise and technology
  • Expertise in design and prototyping tools - Adobe CC, Adobe XD, Zeplin, Abstract, (Figma or something similar) and CC applications in a Macintosh environment.
  • Innovative thinker with a passion for health and technology, and a commitment to creating designs that truly make a difference in people’s lives


We’re headquartered in Irvine, California, and at this time, we are focusing on local resources who will report onsite, as required. Orange County (CA) residents strongly preferred. Sorry, no relocation assistance.

  • Paid Sick leave: is accrued up to 5 days (40 hours) for you or a family member in need of care.
  • Holidays: 9 paid holidays, plus 1 paid floating holiday of your choice (10 days total).

Salary Transparency: Base salary starts at $125,000+ - you know your worth and we want to hear you out. We’re open to a salary that best reflects your experience, skills, knowledge and talents that meet our qualifications and our current needs.
