This role reports to our client's office in Santa Monica, CA, Monday through Friday, with standard working hours from 9-6pm.

We are looking for: Advanced Systems Group LLC. is seeking a Junior Editor to join our high-performing team. This contract role supports our client's Global Studio Services team that produces, films, and edits video projects with multiple internal teams including Content & Partnerships, Marketing, Cameos, Engineering, Communications, DEI, AR.

Job Responsibilities:

Safely ingest, backup, organize and transcode media using Adobe Creative Cloud applications, checksum softwares and DaVinci Resolve
Output dailies, stringouts, selects and radio cuts
Compile and organize sfx, B-roll and other necessary assets for post production projects
Output turnover materials for color and sound (EDLs, XMLs, AAF’s, etc)
Export and deliver version cuts to Frame.io
Clean up and project manage final sequences, and output archival deliverables (high res.
texted renders, high res. textless renders, audio stems, and other master file deliverables)
Collaborate closely with a creative team to build engaging visual stories
Assist in the conceptual development of original content
Communicate your artistic vision for crafting content
Help create animation and motion graphics
Communicate with post production team, producers and designers to ensure successful edits
Take creative notes and apply them to recut edits
Troubleshoot inefficiencies and collaborate on post production optimizations
Stay current with the latest trends, techniques and tools related to post production
Manage video files and asset library to deliver video files transfers as needed
Edit various short form narrative structures: live action, news, reality, comedy, B-roll, sizzle
reels, etc.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Ability to work onsite from our client’s Santa Monica office from Monday through Friday
A minimum of 3 years of experience in post-production video editing
A portfolio demonstrating diverse editing experience
Knowledge of different video formats and codecs
Knowledge of audio, lighting, color correction, motion graphics, and keying footage
In depth experience with Adobe Creative Cloud programs with an emphasis on Premiere Pro
Familiarity with all aspects of video production, pre-production, and post-production
Previous work and experience with a production company, studio or film/TV projects
Competency with Mac OS and iOS operating systems

Nice-to-Have Qualifications & Experience:

Ability to create simple animations and motion graphics using After Effects
Strong skills with Google Suite applications (Drive, Sheets, Slides, Docs, etc.)
Experience working in a studio environment
Strong knowledge of social media platforms and best practices
A good knowledge of cameras and microphones

Compensation & Benefits:

This role is paid an annual salary of $75,000-90,000 depending on experience.
