Position Summary

The North American Payments Specialist reports to the VP of Global Payment Solutions, the leader of Integrated Payments Solutions team in the Solutions Group, reporting to the CMO. The growth team works on-the-ground to drive growth of key SaaS products, including the following: managing the field force team, the product development team, customer success team, and this role, the Payment Specialist. This important role requires a strong leader, who can interface with Embed's FEC customers through their process of setting up their payment gateway, focused on shortening the setup process, ensuring the best pricing for customers and increasing Embed's yield from our integrated partnerships. Actively working with Embed's payment gateway partners, the Customer Experience team and Sales team. This role provides help to customers during the payment gateway setup, with the intent of expediting the setup process, saving our customers money and increasing both customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the process for onboarding customer with the payment gateway provider; making recommendations on how to improve the process (working with the payment gateway provider) and getting more FEC's online as quickly as possible. This role is not a Finance role; it's more project management in a tech environment.
  • Identify and resolve problems in the setup of the payment gateway; interfacing with the Embed's payment gateway partner and the FEC customer.
  • Embed's key point of contact and knowledge of Embed's payment gateway partnership, but focus on customer success/project manage the setup process to ensure the customer is on-board as quickly as possible.
  • Assists with the registration process and works with the customer to ensure its implemented.
  • The aim is expediting setup so the FEC customer can launch and transact as quickly as possible.
  • Build effective working relationships with FECs; be a trusted advisor and a business advocate.
  • Oversee planning and FEC status tracking.
  • Monitor and analyze key metrics, such as speed of execution to go-live.
  • Manage and deliver performance scorecard


Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in project management, multi-tasking, interfacing with customers, driving process change.
  • Strong understanding of payment gateways.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Technology-friendly.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams of inside sales, product development, trainers/promotors, and customers.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Positive, fun and collaborative. Self-starter, ability to think outside of the box.
  • Impact player with a Multiplier Effect.
  • Well- organized and able to work with minimal supervision and in a dynamic work environment.
  • Have a can-do approach to problem-solving.
