SUMMARY: This position provides direct support to the Director of Marketing in the evaluation and development of digital marketing strategies, using Search Engine Optimization, Pay Per Click, and other techniques to drive traffic to the company website, generate interest in company products and services and effect membership and loan acquisition.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages the maintenance of the ALEC website, intranet and social media channels
  • Manages ALEC’s digital channels while staying updated on latest marketing technology and social media platforms
  • Develops and manages digital marketing initiatives, adhering closely to deadlines and to budget, developing and revising ideas, implementing projects and maintaining and communicating results to management
  • Develops and implements Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC) strategies
  • Creates and manages link building strategies, content marketing strategies and social media presences
  • Creates and maintains annual social media calendars
  • Continually evaluates new web technologies and digital marketing trends; recommend and implement new technologies where appropriate and develop campaigns in support of these new technologies
  • Conducts competitive and trends research on online banking, mobile banking and payment systems
  • Forecasts marketing campaign growth and ROI for digital marketing campaigns
  • Uses Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag manager and other relevant tools to assist in driving new membership and loan acquisition
  • Writes headlines social post copy for campaigns
  • Drives ongoing engagement reporting for email and social media campaigns
  • Acts as a liaison with third-party technology companies to monitor current platform and to evaluate new offerings
  • Modifies campaign artwork using Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator as needed
  • Other duties as may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education Required: Associate Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or Business, or equivalent work experience
  • Education Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or Business, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience Required: Two (2) years of experience in a digital marketing role
  • Experience Preferred: Three (3) years of experience in a financial institution in a digital marketing role
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
  • SEO, PPC, Google Analytics, Ads, Tag Manager, Social Media
  • Experience using content management platforms
  • Knowledge of SEMRush, Screaming Frog, and ahrefs
  • Copyrighting ability
  • Experience building, launching an reporting on campaigns
  • Ability to perform job functions independently
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively with internal and/or external members
  • Ability to use computers and job-specific technology/software efficiently
  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Performs responsibilities with composure, quality and accuracy under stress of deadlines/requirements
