Job Description
VP or Director Customer Acquisition Marketing Operations with a focus on creative Product Launch Video Marketing Operations. Remote based job opening, for a small, rapidly growing, brilliant video marketing, customer acquisition and retention video sales letter, VSL, sales copywriting marketing team and consumer brand. The company formulates D2C CPG health supplements products for consumers that are sold via digital marketplaces, online D2C digital marketplaces. Based anywhere in the USA working on ET/CT time zones core hours or full time from Isabela, Puerto Rico.

Compensation: Very attractive; commensurate with experience and level

Job Summary: You will play a vital role in managing and overseeing all aspects of video content production and operations within the team. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of projects, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving operational efficiency. Your focus will be on the successful delivery of video sales letters (VSLs) and email content for customer acquisition via online product launches for a brand in the health supplements or nutritional supplements industry.

We need you to have managed a similar team before who's key responsibilities were:

  • Video, VSL design, production, editing
  • Product Launch Formula experience with D2C consumer goods which produce $300K+ per day in eCommerce sales
  • Spokesperson selection
  • Voice over and casting
  • Sales copy and upsell scripts
  • Email marketing, content, split, a/b, multivariate testing
  • End consumer research and analysis
  • Key benefits to consumers and what problems will be solved or prevented
  • Product naming
  • Logo and packaging/bottle
  • Instructions for use
  • Quality assurance
  • Health or nutritional supplements product formulation (not mandatory)

Responsibilities:

  1. Product Launch / Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end production process of video sales letters (VSLs), from concept development to final delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and client requirements.

  2. Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of creative professionals, including videographers, editors, designers, and other production staff, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

  3. Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement streamlined production workflows and processes to maximize efficiency, productivity, and quality of deliverables.

  4. Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control standards to ensure the highest level of production value and adherence to brand guidelines and client expectations.

  5. Next year we will become a pure play D2C consumer brand and launch new supplement products

  6. Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage production budgets, allocate resources effectively, and track expenses to ensure profitability and cost control.

  7. Vendor Management: Identify and manage relationships with external vendors, including production studios, talent, and freelancers, negotiating contracts and ensuring deliverables meet expectations.

  8. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to video production, direct response advertising, and digital marketing, and drive innovation within the team.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Film Production, Advertising, Marketing) or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in video production, preferably within the advertising or digital marketing industry, with a focus on direct response advertising and video sales letters (VSLs are long form videos).

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of effectively leading and motivating cross-functional teams.

  • In-depth knowledge of video production processes, including pre-production, production, and post-production.

  • Familiarity with D2C digital marketplaces, eCommerce sales, and online customer service within the health supplements or nutritional supplements industry is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas, negotiate contracts, and interact with clients and stakeholders effectively.

  • Proficiency in project management software, video editing tools, and other relevant production software.
