Description of Responsibilities: Great customer service skills. Under the general direction of the Contract Services Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing all custodial and floor care services both contracted and in house. Trains and assists Custodial Supervisors. Assist in developing programs and time lines for custodial and floor care contracts. Must possess a valid Florida driver's license and a safe driving record.

Required Experience: High school diploma or GED; Three (3) years of experience in custodial, floor care or related trade; three (3) years of experience in supervising three (3) or more employees.


Required skills: Knowledge of proper operation and maintenance of floor care and custodial equipment including but not limited to: wringers, buffers, vacuums burnishes, extractors and polishers; various types of floor systems and care and maintenance of each, including but not limited to: VCT, ceramic tile, carpet, concrete and wood; safe use of chemicals used in floor care and custodial departments. Must maintain detailed files and records; have skill and knowledge to supervise, motivate and train employees; able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with all groups they may come in contact with through the course of business, including crews. Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push heavy cleaning equipment; use a cell phone, computer and basic office equipment.
