Job Description

Seeking an Accounting Assistant to join a growing construction company in the Baltimore, MD area!

Responsibilities:

Accounts payable lifecycle: bi-monthly check runs, credits and returns, follow up, reconciliation
Posting financial data to accounts
Reconciling invoices and identifying discrepancies
Payroll processing
Payroll taxes: weekly, monthly, quarterly and year end
Accounts receivable process
Prepare mobile bank deposits, reconcile
Sales, Use and payroll tax filings in various states
Responsible for applying for tax resale certificates and completing credit applications for new vendors
Daily cash flow report
Managing expense reports and reimbursements
Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual audits
Support billing team
Familiarity with financial regulations
Ability to handle sensitive confidential information

Qualifications:

Must have a college degree
Coursework and experience with accounting and sales and use tax preferred
Communication Proficiency
Technology Skills
Candidate should have strong organizational skills, pay attention to detail and be thorough and investigative.
