Senior Route Service Steward

The ideal candidate is highly motivated, has the ability to multitask, can lead others,  and consistently follow through with action plans set by the Operations Manager. The Senior Route Steward is responsible for the overall supervision of the division employees as well as coaching and resolving minor issues.

• Job Type: Full-Time
• Salary: $58K 
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 
• Location: Burnet, Texas

Essential Duties

• Ensure policies and procedures are being enforced and are applicable.
• Responsible for the training and onboarding of all Drivers. 
• Ensure that all Drivers pass their training, are well versed in tablet usage and are able to run their route without difficulties.
• Notify the Operations Manager of all incidents. (ex. Injuries, accidents, or property damage)
• Ensure that all of the routes are synchronized. Ensure that all the Drivers have their routes each morning. (confirm Dispatch’s plan)
• Work closely with Dispatch to improve route efficiency and practices. 
• Work closely with Dispatch to predict route hours.
• Work with the Yard Supervisor to ensure that we have all necessary inventory for Drivers. 
• Ensure the Drivers have the correct units on their trucks for the day. 
• Verify that all the Drivers have the tools they need to perform their jobs.
• Work with Dispatch to ensure that the on call schedule is confirmed by Wednesday. 
• Responsible for ensuring shifts are covered if a Driver is unable to cover for any reason.
• Work to maintain quality and productivity ratings above 95%.
• Provides coaching/discipline for Drivers. (Verbal Warnings must be documented and Coaching Process followed).
• Complete special projects as requested by Operations Manager.
• Ensure on-time/on-schedule departures.
• Train and empower the lead employee to assume a supervisor role during your absence.
• Report weekly Key Performance Indicators (K.P.I.’s) as directed by the Operations Manager.
• Work directly with our Procurement Steward to manage inventory needs.
• Work directly with the Senior Fleet Steward to ensure repairs and maintenance of trucks and equipment are performed. 
• Senior Route Steward must cover all shifts if someone calls in sick, quits or is no longer an employee of JBar Enterprises.
• Maintain J Bar’s Mission, Vision and Values.

Licenses

• A valid Class C driver’s license with a great driving record. (Required)

Experience

• Must have a minimum of 3 years route driving and 2 years supervisory experience.
• Must be 21 years in age or older per insurance requirements

Requirements

• Geographical knowledge of service area and/or efficiency in using google maps/mapping software 
• Organized and a strong attention to detail
• Advanced customer service skills
• Ability to multitask
• Knowledge of industry is recommended but not required 
• Computer skills: Basic email, sheets, documents
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) 
• Two years related experience and/or training in customer service
