Job Description

Overview: The Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund has been awarding college scholarships for 75 years and is the largest independent scholarship organization in New England. Each year, the Ouimet Fund awards roughly 475 scholarships, totaling more than $3.4 million, to deserving young people who have worked at golf courses in Massachusetts. As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, our team is expanding and looking for passionate individuals to join us as we strive to make an even more profound impact on our Scholars, Alumni, and the donors who support them.


Become an integral part of our mission to empower future leaders through education by applying for the role of Manager, Donor & Scholarship Programming. This role will serve critical areas of the organization’s fundraising and scholarship programs. This unique position is an important piece of a professional staff of eight who work together on many projects supporting a volunteer board of 60 area business leaders. The Manager will report to, and primarily work with, the Director, Development & Donor Relations and the Director, Scholarship & Donor Systems. The position will also work with volunteers on various committees and the Board of Directors. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Maintain and expand upon the Ouimet Fund’s personalized donor recognition programs, including personalized outreach to donors and supporters
• Assist with the execution of annual fund solicitation schedule for the Annual Fund, Alumni Fund, and the Ouimet Fund’s endowment (includes execution of annual appeals, tracking results, and managing volunteer engagement and outreach)
• Regularly communicate with volunteers and staff to record and capture their donor interactions in database
• Assist with preparation of meeting agendas and materials, attend meetings, assist with follow-up and next steps, and coordinate activities of volunteers
• Assemble and mail weekly acknowledgment letters and stewardship packages
• Assist Alumni Chair and fellow staff with meetings, programs, and events for donors and Alumni
• Assist in coordinating and managing all scholarship database information
• Process all applications and financial aid information of applicants, including input of application data and scoring, and decision notifications
• Prepare outgoing mailings included in Scholar communications
• Assist in coordination of The Fund’s Ouimet Onward program (career services for Scholars and young Alumni)
• Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 2-5 years of experience in higher education, nonprofit, the golf industry, or similar work
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat and a willingness to learn new programs
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with donors, volunteers, and colleagues
• Ability to work both independently and with supervision as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently
• Ability to handle highly confidential financial and personal information with discretion
• Success in fundraising, annual giving programs, marketing, and sales is highly desirable
• Writes with attention to needs of the target audience; strong editorial skills; presents numerical data effectively
• Enjoys being part of and engaging with a small dedicated, energetic team
• Appreciates a sense of humor
• At a minimum, a basic understanding of Francis Ouimet, his impact, and the Ouimet Fund

• Hiring Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 based on candidate
