Digital Web Press Operator

Kirkwood Direct, a leading direct mail and digital printing company, is searching to hire a Digital Web Press Operator for first and second shifts. Operators will run roll-to-roll Ricoh Pro VC60000 Continuous Inkjet and OCE 7550 VarioStream Toner Digital 20” Webs. Engaged in the production of printed products in a safe and efficient manner - this includes the set-up and prep of the webs to produce the product according to specifications. Operators will complete quality checks to ensure that the printed product meets all finishing requirements. Operators will monitor the print process to maintain quality and inspect both the startup and final output for quality. Must be able to notice differences in color, brightness, and shading. Operators will also complete basic housekeeping and preventative maintenance tasks as needed. Good communication skills and proficient in basic computer skills required. Mechanical knowledge for digital webs helpful. Knowledge of any prepress process, color, color correction and substrates helpful. Qualifications include: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred but not required. Previous experience with digital print required. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment. Competency in performing multiple functional tasks. Lifting & pushing up to 40 pounds. Standing for long periods of time. Significant walking. Ability to respond to frequent demands of high-profile customers. Starting salary is negotiable based on experience.
