General Description:

The Director of Information Technology will manage and direct the company's information technology (IT) operations, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service. The Director of IT will manage both the day-to-day operations and also the infrastructure of the organizations, EMR, Cloud-based programs, third-party vendors, cyber security, help desk, and development of Federal Required programs. The most critical capability of this position is the ability to lead and grow people while ensuring constant and clear expectations are established and met. ResponsibilitiesSpecific Responsibilities of the Job:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including the management of staff, third  party service providers, budget, and projects.
  • Mange project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies that support the company's business goals.
  • Oversee security of systems, networks, and enterprise information and facilitate IT security audits and investigations.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the procurement and management of IT hardware, software, and services
  • Manages the IT help desk and ensure that users receive timely and effective support.
  • Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
  • Serves as the organization’s Information Security Officer and maintains systems to be adherent to HIPAA and HITRUST regulations.
  • Train the IT department to hear the needs of Prism Health employees and set their happiness as the measure of your success.
  • Creates and maintains documentation of system configurations, including development and versioning.
  • Establishes and maintains a robust and effective issue tracking system.
  • Conducts annual IT staff personal goals and performance reviews.
  • Manages all external partners, vendors, and associated Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
  • Maintains current knowledge of applicable trends, rules, regulations, and other factors and ensures the business is always ahead changing needs/risks.
  • Coordinate with other compliance functions – like Audit, Legal, Enterprise Risk, and Privacy –to track compliance across the organization and pool expertise on vague or complex regulatory requirements.
  • Creates presentations, briefings, reports, and other means of communications on technology risk issues for a variety of internal and external stakeholders

Required SkillsRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Hands-on leader who enjoys building teams and processes, recruiting, mentoring, and growing with their team
  • You have demonstrated capabilities in developing and implementing business strategy.
  • Experience in healthcare related field and knowledge of EMR’s preferred.
  • Strategic planning experience in information technologies and systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSI model, Internet, security, telecommunications, and data communications.
  • Preferred experience in
  • Microsoft 365 and hybrid environments
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Issue tracking / ticketing systems
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) technology
  • Experience or certification in project management preferred.
  • Experience with non-profit organizations preferred.
  • Experience with cybersecurity, network, and information security

 

Education and experience:

•          3+ years’ experience in managing and supervising IT teams/staff.

•          5+ years building and supporting Infrastructure of mid to large organizations.

•          2+ years’ experience working with senior management and/or executive leaders.

•          GCP or other cloud and experience certifications required.
