Job Description

Role:

To improve the Credit Union's competitive position, consistent with its mission, within the markets served. Develop objectives, policies and programs for marketing activities of the Credit Union. Plan, direct, and coordinate the efforts of marketing and sales toward the accomplishment of overall objectives. Supply advice and assistance to the President and other operating units within the organization.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the execution of the Corporate Marketing and Communication Plan. Refine and revise marketing and communications plan as needed.
  • Manages the Marketing Communications (which includes social media), and Public Relations functions.
  • Enhance member education and increase non-member awareness of credit union products/services by promoting effective communication; create and manage production and distribution of special mailings to members, newsletters, etc.
  • Work with the Marketing Agencies to coordinate collateral development, digital campaigns, media placements, etc.
  • Create and track internal marketing data on monthly dashboard. Utilize marketing reports to maintain and track product usage, website statistics, and membership statistics.
  • Responsible for social media design and engagement. Online reputation monitoring. Respond to online reviews in a timely manner.
  • Manage new member onboarding process.

  • Maintain and update website; Upload product information and articles, and banners; Create new pages as needed for new products & service offerings and events.
  • Assist in the editing and production of Credit Union materials such as manuals, policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for public relations efforts by writing promotional letters, press releases, fact sheets and articles for publications; Ensures established brand and image standards are consistent across all media.
  • Maintains Advertising Records. Maintain retail marketing consistency. Manages vendor relationships.
  • Order and distribute marketing promotional items and giveaways.
  • Research competitor products’ features and rates; Make comparisons to Align’s products and bring recommendations for changes.
  • Conducts marketing research on members, non-members, target markets, industry best practices and trends research.
  • Review and make decision/recommendation regarding sponsorship and donation requests to support the Community Reinvestment Act.
  • Stays up to date on marketing compliance.
  • Abide by all federal, state, and local laws including but not limited to: The Bank Secrecy Act, including the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN); Uniform Commercial Code (UCC); Federal Reserve Bank; and National Credit Union Administration (NCUA)
  • 3-7 years of Marketing & Communications experience required.

This is a hybrid role and requires on-site work in Lowell, MA.
