Seeking a New Sales Role and Possible Ownership with a Well Established Company in Plastics and Paper Sales?

Starr offers a great selection of superior quality packaging materials for clients in the food service industry and more, including: Clamshell Containers, Cling Wrap, Coffee Filters, Corrugated Boxes, Deli Cups , Flat and Enclosable Poly Bags, Food Service Bags, Garbage Can Liners, Gloves, Machine Wrap, Miscellaneous Packaging Supplies, Stretch Film, T-Shirt Bags.We have developed strategic partnerships with both domestic and international manufacturers so that we can provide reasonable rates for our clients. By sourcing through both channels, we can ensure a fast turnaround from domestic production as well as the ideal cost savings of importing from overseas manufacturers.

Role information:

This position is responsible for direct sales of J. Starr's diverse line of products with diverse prospective buyers. Reporting is to the operations director and colleagues include two other sales and operations people. Responsibilities are primarily outside sales along with developing customer relationships and gaining industry traction with our multiple product lines with each customer interaction. 

 

Our Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying customer needs for the full product line and selling value added solutions to meet customer requirements. The sales territory is national with respect to outside new sales. There is a strong emphasis on portable business and key relationships with customers.


This opportunity uniquely provides the opportunity for ownership with exceptional performance. 

Qualified candidates will have a five years’ experience in an industrial sales or service capacity with marketing responsibilities. Experience in paper and/or plastics sales is highly desired. A work-from-home arrangement can be accommodated with weekly office time required.

What you will do

 

  • Develop leads and close sales with a diverse pool of leads
  • Apply J. Starr sales strategy keeping metrics and meeting sales targets
  • Work in unison with operations and product specialists
  • Continually search for strategic leads from industry information, search tools, or organic references.

 

Pay: $80-100K with an opportunity for ownership, a competitive commission plan, and an expense budget.
