Community Lending Officer

Location: Middletown, RI. Hybrid preferred (hybrid considered 3 days in office) but remote will be considered.

Department: Marketing

General Business Hours: M-F 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Shift: 8 hours, M-F.

Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000

SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated Community Lending Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in expanding our marketing reach to homeowners in historically underserved markets, with a particular focus on the Latino community. The candidate will collaborate closely with loan officers to develop strategies that effectively engage with potential homeowners, ensuring compliance with fair housing regulations guidelines.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Technical Knowledge, Years of Related Experience, Skills, Licenses, and Systems Experience

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Familiarity with fair housing regulations. Prior experience in marketing, sales, or relationship management within the financial services industry is preferred. Knowledge of the Latino housing market, including past trends and future projections, is highly desirable.
  3. Skills: Fluency in Spanish is required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  4. Systems: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

TRAINING REQUIRED

Participate in additional training on sales, technology, products, procedures, and pricing on an ongoing basis. Participate in sales leadership and FAQ calls. Complete annual training as required by company policy and law on an annual basis in a timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to expand outreach to homeowners in historically underserved markets, with a specific emphasis on the Latino community.
  • Collaborate with loan officers to identify opportunities for outreach and engagement within the Latino housing market.
  • Provide guidance and support to loan officers in navigating cultural nuances and preferences within the Latino community.
  • Conduct market research to understand current trends, challenges, and opportunities within the Latino housing market, both past and future.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and community organizations, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders within the Latino community.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials and campaigns for the Latino market, ensuring cultural sensitivity and relevance.
  • Provide training and resources to loan officers on fair housing practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, providing recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, fair housing laws, and best practices related to serving diverse communities.

SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES

Attend and participate in all Monthly Awards Ceremonies, Corporate Gatherings (including travelling to headquarters quarterly), Sales Calls & Training Events. Read all newsletters and bulletins to remain current on corporate policies, procedures, and developments.

Work Location Information:

Embrace supports hybrid work where business needs allow, but is rebuilding a community that looks forward to collaboration within an office setting. All remote work, if allowed, must be performed in a state in which Embrace is registered to do business or presently open to payroll withholding, unemployment insurance as well as workers compensation. Those states are as follows: Alabama, Arizona, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.
