Solar Technician / Assistant Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Solar Technician to join our team and assist in our growth. This role involves working closely with the project manager and seasoned technicians to install, maintain, and service solar PV systems for our commercial clients. Key Responsibilities

• Execute the installation and commissioning of commercial-scale solar energy systems according to project specifications, regulatory standards, and safety protocols.
• Conduct quality assessments and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with stringent quality control measures.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to coordinate project schedules, resource allocation, and monitor project progress.
• Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques to swiftly identify and resolve technical issues, thereby optimizing system performance and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installation activities, including detailed reports, work orders, and equipment logs.
• Provide guidance and support to onsite personnel and subcontractors, ensuring a culture of excellence and safety is upheld.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in solar installation or construction industry.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components, and proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with solar technologies, components, and installation techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Preferred certifications: NABCEP PV Installation Professional, OSHA Construction Safety, NFPA 70E.
• Working knowledge of SolarEdge, Enphase, CPS, Also Energy, and Solectria manufactured parts.
• Spanish language skills are beneficial but not required.
