Car Description Editor

Position Purpose:

The Car Description Editor works closely with the in-house consignment team but also interface with numerous other departments in the company as needed. The Car Description Editor will be responsible for editing and proofing car descriptions while ensuring adherence to house style and maintaining consistent messaging and style.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Manage writing, editing, and proofing of consigned car descriptions.
• Update the system on any changed description throughout the consignment phase.
• Assist other departments with communication needs and promotional materials as needed.
• Review and edit all auction car descriptions, ensuring consistency and adherence to house style.
• Proof/edit all incoming consignment applications, ensuring accuracy.
• Special projects as assigned.
• Ability to multi-task and work under deadline pressure, manage change and adhere to strict deadlines.

Education and/or Experience:

• Proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
• Bachelor's degree from in a related field (preferably in public relations, journalism, or communication) preferred.
• 2-3 years working experience in a related field.
• Friendly and customer service oriented
• Team player who works in collaboration with other departments
• Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
• Excellent knowledge of AP Style.
• Ghost-writing experience and knowledge of automotive terminology a plus.
• Creativity, time, and project management skills.

Culture

The Collector Car and Auto Hunter's culture is live and in-person our business to the core. Team members are in the office 5 days per week, 8am to 5pm at the Scottsdale, AZ headquarters.
