Job Location: 100% remote

Core Business Hours:  8:00 - 4:00 ET

Clearance Requirement: NACI (Public Trust)

Employment Period: Immediate - Immediate through September 2026

Education: At least seven (5) years of project management experience with IT systems and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical field

A minimum of three (2) years overseeing IT projects involving the use of Earned Value Management, Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), Information Technology Information Library (ITIL), and MS Project, as well as prior hands-on technical experience in a software development environment

Summary Description:
OmniSolve is seeking an IT Project Manager for a contract with a federal government client.  We are seeking a candidate who has agile project management experience, can gather/define requirements with a diverse stakeholder group, conduct cost estimates, coordinate across business line(s) and relevant vendors and perform other functions to ensure successful management of the Smart Sensor contract.   

Responsibilities include

  • Facilitate and lead requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders at a high-level to drive Smart Sensor application development/IT projects.

  • The candidate should assemble an Integrated Project Team (IPT) and lead kick-off meetings to review and refine requirements, set project timeline(s) and milestones, formulate project budget(s), allocate project resource(s), and coordinate across project stakeholders to ensure agile project delivery/implementation and success. 

  • Manage Smart Sensor projects within the client team. Coordinate amongst multiple project stakeholders to complete a variety of IT projects on time and within budget with minimal oversight. 

  • Brief senior-level management on project status and communicate complex technical information to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Work with client’s Account Managers to manage customer relationships, including establishing customer expectations and communicating with customers related to project components - scope, deliverables, schedules, resources, blockers, etc. 

  • This position will be 100% remote and should be comfortable leading working sessions with business line personnel (mostly non-technical) and sometimes more technical like other IT PMs and development / systems vendors / SMEs to formulate requirements and coordinate overall project management. The candidate must also be comfortable working on multiple projects / integrated efforts at once and appropriately prioritizing work as well as escalating issues as needed.    

The candidate must have experience in the following:

  • Be well-versed in agile methodologies, and will be responsible for managing the smart sensor project and /or additional projects within the client. 

  • managing and coordinating amongst multiple project stakeholders to complete a variety of IT projects on time and within budget, and demonstrated experience managing complex IT/professional services projects with minimal oversight. 

  • briefing senior management on the status of projects, and communicating complex technical information to a non-technical audience. 

  • managing customer relationships including establishing customer expectations, and communicating with customers related to project components - scope, deliverables, schedules, resources, blockers, etc. 

  • be comfortable working with nationally distributed/cross-functional teams. 

  • Demonstrated requirement gathering experience

  • Experience working with quality management approaches and techniques; experience working with delivery assurance policies, procedures, and to ensure compliance 

  • Experience working with administrative processes

  • Experience working with client vision, business objectives, and critical success factors

  • Experience working with delivery assurance principles and appropriate procedures

  • Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of Google Suite of applications

  • Knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software and equipment 

  • Knowledge of IT project management principles (e.g. Agile SCRUM or Kanban) and software development lifecycle

  • Demonstrated team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor 

  • Keen problem solving and critical thinking skills

The following qualifications are preferred but not required,

  • Federal government experience

  • PMP, Agile or other relevant certification and experience preferred, e.g., Scrum Master

  • Experience with IoT projects such as Smart Sensor applications and technologies
