Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will direct and oversee the financial performance of the organization. Responsibilities will include ensuring the organization's financial strength and maximizing its return on investment. The CFO will be responsible for timely and accurate financial and operational data/reports and advising the CEO on strategic direction.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, compliance and financial performance and reporting, and help drive the company’s financial strategy.
• Manages revenue and profits to exceed industry standards.
• Monitor business performance with tracking tools; establish corrective measures as needed.
• Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of improvement, growth, reorganization, or downsizing.
• Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and profitability.
• Work with senior managers to efficiently develop and constantly improve financial performance, provide access to project finance information.
• Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization.
• Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows.
• Comply with national and local financial, reporting and government compliance requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate action.
• Assembles and communicates timely and accurate financial performance data effectively with team members and contributes to a positive work environment.
• Provide development, coaching and mentoring to staff for the overall growth and success of the company.

Education/Experience

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
• Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
• Five or more years of experience in executive leadership role with demonstrable positive financial impact on prior employers.
• Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access various departments of a given location.
