Procurement Specialist

4ocean Public Benefit Corporation is on a mission to save the world's oceans, and we are looking for a Procurement Specialist located in Boca Raton, Florida to help us advance our cause.

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing and procurement of all materials and products related to our jewelry and related articles. This includes the strategic sourcing of eco-friendly and sustainable materials that align with our mission to protect the ocean. The Manager will play a crucial role in product development, cost negotiation, supplier relationship management, and ensuring the ethical and sustainable procurement of all goods.

• Develop and implement innovative sourcing and procurement strategies aligning with 4ocean's sustainability and cost-saving objectives.
• Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and partners that meet our sustainability and ethical standards.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers, ensuring the best quality, sustainability practices, and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with the product development team to source materials and components for new products, aligning with the company's mission and sustainability criteria.
• Manage the entire procurement process, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, purchase order creation, and follow-up to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, focusing on long-term partnerships and ethical sourcing practices.
• Implement and manage a supplier evaluation system to ensure ongoing compliance with environmental and social standards.
• Work closely with the logistics and inventory teams to ensure a smooth supply chain and inventory management process.
• Stay updated on industry trends, sustainability practices, and regulatory changes that may impact sourcing and purchasing activities.
• Lead, manage, and develop the sourcing and purchasing team, fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, and commitment to sustainability.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the E-Commerce or jewelry industry.
• Strong commitment to sustainability and ethical business practices, with prior experience in sustainable sourcing.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective sourcing and procurement strategies.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
