Instructional Technology Specialist

Reports To: Director of Information Services
Work Schedule: 7:30am-4:00pm
This position is a staff position that is full time, benefits eligible.
Position Summary
Heathwood Hall is seeking a talented and hardworking individual to be part of a collaborative, highly-functioning Technology Team. The Instructional Technology Specialist works closely with the Academic Technology Coordinator and Director of Information Services to provide technology integration leadership and instructional support for faculty. The right candidate will be a professional with school experience who is willing to commit to the school's mission and supports the vision set by the Director of Information Technology.
Essential Functions
- Instructional Technology Integration:
- Work across the PK-12 program to collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate pedagogically appropriate technology into lesson plans and instruction.
- Assist in the development of high quality training and tutorial materials for students, faculty, and parents. Conduct workshops, produce instructional videos, etc.
- Work closely with the Academic Technology Coordinator and Director of Information Services to develop strategy, evaluate products, consider new possibilities for academic technology at Heathwood.
- Provide support for faculty with our classroom learning systems and gradebook software.
- Teaching basic technology courses as needed
- Work in partnership with team members (technology department) to support the schools needs in various technology related tasks or assignments as needed for the success of the technology department

- Demonstrated success as a self-starter with strong deadline completion skills
- High degree of professionalism, collaborative efforts, and dedication to the overall goals of the department
- Flexibility in collaboration, workday expectations, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and communication skills
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field required, Master's degree preferred
- Classroom teaching experience, 2 years preferred
- Running workshops and experience delivering training, 2 years preferred
- Experience with iPadOS and macOS as a user and instructor, preferred
- Experience with Google Workspace for Education and other similar educational software services, 2 years preferred
Working Conditions
- Outside travel is occasionally required around large campus
- Must be able to lift 35lbs
- This position will occasionally require work that happens outside the regular work day, including weekends and evenings, some of which is planned and some in response to technical issues that were not predictable.
