SUMMARY
The Seattle Seahawks are seeking a Social Content Coordinator (Part-Time) to assist in the day-to-day programming and content creation for Seahawks social media accounts across a variety of platforms while assisting with video editing as needed. This role will be responsible for assisting with live coverage across Seahawks channels, as well as ideating and executing content for ancillary accounts like Seahawks Dancers, Seahawks Community and more. This is a part-time, year-round position averaging 28 hours per week, the majority of which will be spent at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton, Washington.
The ideal candidate knows how to tell captivating stories with a "social-first" mindset and can successfully cover a live event with a beginning, middle and end. They can regularly identify content opportunities and execute those ideas from initial concept to posting with minimal assistance. They can edit quick videos, such as gameday highlights and closed captioning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the digital media team in developing content plans for various stories, events and other opportunities
  • Responsible for daily programming on "story-only" platforms, such as Instagram Story, TikTok stories and Snapchat
  • Assist with video editing for social platforms in a timely manner
  • Assist in the management of the team's social media content calendar.
  • Work with internal departments (Public Relations, Corporate Partnerships, Community Engagement, Marketing, etc.) in fulfilling digital media needs as requested
  • Manage various tasks for home/away games, including weekends, holidays and evenings
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum one year of experience in a social media role
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro)
  • Understanding of the game of football
  • Interest and experience in the sports and entertainment industry is a plus
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and thrive in the 24/7 NFL news cycle, handling multiple tasks at once with great attention to detail
  • Above average fluency in social media platforms, including emerging platforms, as well as their analytics
  • Experience with graphics and photography
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud (namely Photoshop and Premiere)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Must be able to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays

COMPENSATION
The hourly rate for this position is: $27.00
The hourly rate applies to the current posting. The posted hourly rate may vary based on key factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related knowledge, experience and skill set.
