Communications Associate

We're a thriving strategic communications, digital and creative agency based in Boston that works with trailblazers in the biotech industry. We're looking for a motivated, curious and enthusiastic Associate who will support and contribute to the many facets of our clients' strategic communications programs. Our services encompass corporate messaging/positioning, media strategies/media relations, social/digital media, investor communications, internal communications, scientific communications, web site development and patient engagement.

Please Note: Our headquarters office is located in downtown Boston, MA. Our Boston area employees collaborate in office together two days a week with flexibility/remote work on other days. Our remote employees spend time in Boston for company, client and team meetings as needed.

What You'll Be Doing Day to Day:

• Support multiple client accounts, working with senior account leaders to plan and implement the full range of client responsibilities
• Oversee project deliverable timelines, proactively scheduling meetings when needed
• Attend client meetings and prep meeting agendas
• Understand technical subject matter, and convey its essence through written and verbal communications
• Develop strong written materials, adapting writing style to fit a given audience or application (media, web, internal, etc.)
• Develop social media strategy and implement, such as drafting calendars and social media analytics
• Contribute to writing press releases, patient narratives, website text, and more
• Develop target media lists and media targeting strategies
• Lead timely monitoring, analysis and reporting of coverage from a variety of news outlets covering our clients and issues related to their business
• Conduct primary research and market analysis in support of client-level communications initiatives, new business pitches, and other needs
• Provide administrative support for all aspects of firm business, including time tracking, internal communications projects, and infrastructure/capacity building

What You'll Bring to Our Team:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related discipline
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills
• An eagerness to immerse oneself in the biotech industry
• A desire to help build and nurture a culture of collaboration excellence and growth, and an ability to think creatively at all times
• BONUS SKILLS: social media analytics, cloud content organization, social media management using tools like Sprout or Hootsuite, project management, news monitoring using tools like Cision and Meltwater, previous agency internships or experience
