Job Description
Position Overview:
The Philadelphia Visitor Center Corporation is seeking a motivated and talented Marketing and Partnerships Manager to work closely under the Vice President, Experience and Engagment to support all PVCC’s visitor experience and partnership marketing objectives. 

Position Description:
The Marketing and Partnerships Manager is responsible for developing events, campaigns, and partnership opportunities that engage visitors, grow revenue, and showcase the breadth and depth of Philadelphia’s hospitality and tourism industry, and promote the PVCC’s four visitor centers, the Philly PHLASH® Downtown Loop, The Liberty View Meetings and Event Space.

The Marketing and Partnership Manager supports the Experience & Engagement division by building relationships tourism and hospitality partners and identifying creative activations to elevate their brands to visitors. The manager will be responsible for selling in-building advertising and sponsorship packages and working with brands to develop bespoke promotional campaigns.

This role will include overseeing the creation of print and digital content, including brochures, activations, experiences and events, signage, ad placements, internal communications, social media, website, and in-building digital displays.

Responsibilities and Duties:
The Marketing and Partnerships Manager position supports overall organizational goals by:
  • Selling in-building advertising and sponsorship packages
  • Engaging tourism and hospitality partners in shared promotional campaigns
  • Developing print and digital messaging to strengthen The Corporation brand and partnerships
  • Providing marketing planning and administrative support as needed
  • Creating media kits to showcase The Corporation’s wide range of in-building and digital visibility and promotional opportunities
  • Building a network of partners in the regional tourism community
  • Creating advertising and media impact reports after large-scale events and installations
  • Curating, write and design content for various public-facing programs, events, and media
  • Developing and distributing a monthly stakeholder newsletter
  • Managing graphic design, PR, and marketing vendors
  • Overseeing content collection, design, layout, and distribution of all brochures and marketing collateral
  • Managing promotional agreements and communications with partners

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Self-motivated, results driven individual
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, sales and advertising, or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong verbal and writing skills, with the ability to develop creative content
  • Experience in sales and affiliate marketing
  • Experience running large public events
  • A passion for the Philadelphia tourism and hospitality industry
  • Proficiencies in the following software: Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office 365, Canva
  • Experience with graphic design (experience using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop required)
  • Experience running events and programs
  • Experience managing high profile public events
  • Experience with social media and digital promotions
  • Knowledgeable of the Greater Philadelphia region and tourism industry
