Insurance Producer - Employee Benefits

We are an Independent Insurance Agency seeking career-oriented professionals to join our Employee Benefits Team. The ideal candidate must have several years experience. Be motivated to grow personally and professionally. Seek out business owners to connect with, listen to, and help them develop their insurance program. Draw + Unlimited Commission Potential

Responsibilities Include:

• Maintain Established Book of Employee Benefits Business.
• Prospect for new business from existing clients and identified target groups.
• Contact prospects for the purpose of providing a quote and making sales appointments.
• Survey prospects to determine insurance needs and inspecting current insurance policies.
• Collect detailed census and underwriting information.
• Develop and deliver formal proposals of insurance including details of coverages, limits, deductibles and other pertinent information.
• Work with service person or marketer to complete company submissions and selection of potential markets.
• Conduct client and prospect appointments communicating proposals and renewals, explaining details and communicating desire to conduct business.

Requirements: College degree preferred. Knowledge of computer systems and operations. Good listening skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of insurance and products with a professional designation is a plus.

• Proven ability to pursue and close sales.
• Three or more years of experience in sales.
• Independent Agency experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and related software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• This is a Full-Time position with the ability to work in our Portland Office or Vancouver Office. Excellent benefits package!
