Job Description

E-commerce Operations Manager

 Seeking an experienced E-Commerce Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, enhance vendor relations, and guarantee a smooth user experience across all platforms.

Responsibilities:

Team Management: Supervise team workflow and performance, including remote customer service and logistics staff, ensuring efficient issue resolution. Direct reports to the CEO/Owner.

Decision Authority:  Act as the ultimate decision-maker for critical matters including delivery errors, refunds, and brand restrictions.

Technical Oversight: Address technical issues, stay current with software/connectivity, and maintain system operations.

Vendor Relations: Enhance vendor terms, research products, open accounts, obtain discounts, and represent the company at industry events.

Product and Site Management: Manage online product displays and search placement, set pricing strategies, and oversee promotions and marketing.

Content Strategy: Define content tone across all channels, oversee newsletters and blogs, and manage blog writers, SEO/backlink consultants, and IT marketing (PPC).

Design and Development: Work with the web development team to improve user experience and site functionality. Supervise contractors for ongoing updates and enhancements.

Financial Oversight:Manage profit/loss statements, budgets, and financial/legal tasks. Oversee payment servers, equipment leases, and merchant agreements. Eligible for profit sharing upon surpassing targets.

IT Management: Manage IT infrastructure, including server upkeep, order systems, and troubleshooting of PCs, software, and networks.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • 2-5 years in digital marketing or related role.  
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Digital Marketing.
  • Proficient in PPC, SEO, SEM, social media, and digital campaigns.
  • Confidence in developing and overseeing retail and E-Commerce-focused digital marketing strategies.
  •  Skilled in retail and e-commerce digital marketing strategies.
  • Strong understanding of UX, web design, and customer flow.
  • Experience with traffic analysis, reporting tools, and optimization.
  • Knowledgeable in website speed optimization, A/B testing, conversion management, and sales journey optimization.

Nice to haves:

  • Effective communicator with Keen Attention to Detail: Proficient in communication, especially with vendors, demonstrating professionalism and meticulous attention to detail in all interactions.
  • Skilled in People Management and Mentorship.
  • Possess advanced skills in information technology, including software, hardware, and network management.
  • Understanding and experience with the Big Commerce platform and high proficiency with Google Analytics and Order Manager systems are advantageous. Familiarity with these platforms demonstrates adaptability and proficiency in utilizing relevant software tools.
  • Broad experience in attribution modeling, website speed optimization, A/B testing, conversion management, and sales journey optimization.
  • Strong MarTech background, with experience managing marketing and tech teams.
  • Proficient in managing financial matters, including budgeting, analysis, and decision-making, to ensure fiscal responsibility and profitability.
