Job Description

Primary responsibilities include the operation of satellite transmission equipment, including satellite antennas, digital receivers, encoders, modulators, cross converters, transmitters, and various test equipment.

• Be first contact between client and affiliates when dealing with issues belonging to transmission and be able to direct or guide them to a solution.

• Route analog, SDI, HD-SDI, and ASI signals within the Encompass facilities as well as to various clients

• Work with the ScheduALL program to coordinate all daily services between all the Encompass Digital Media facilities

• Work with Encompass Schedulers for the allocation of all resources and be a guide to answer and troubleshoot items for various occasional bookings

• Handle Conditional Access responsibilities including authorizations and de- authorizations of IRD’s for various clients on Arris and Cisco platforms; create program definitions and blackouts for Arris platforms, and create and maintain blackouts for Cisco platforms. Maintain and updating databases for all of EDM clients

• Monitor all full time services for signal quality as well as be able to help restore services in a timely fashion
