Airway Cleaners is a privately held organization which works within the Airline Industry. Airway is currently seeking a Accounts Receivable/ Collections individual to join our team.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with account analysis and maintaining proper documentation as well as create invoices for certain customers.
Responsibilities:
- Review expenses to identify the best strategy for organizing and monitoring.
- Work on a daily collections.
- Record month-end close entries.
- Record and reconcile intercompany accounts.
- Perform general bookkeeping and organize financial forms, documents, and receipts.
- Ensure all financial transactions within the company are accounted for in a timely manner.
- Support AR function including reconciling revenue and recording manual/Mics invoices accurately.
- Cash Application and monitor and control AR aging/collections.
- Document all related processes and continue to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and meet timely obligations and deadlines.
- Knowledge of accounting processes and advanced mathematical skills.
- Skilled using various accounting software and experience in troubleshooting common accounting program problems.
- Support various accounting projects.
- Support all accounting/finance functions for 3 companies.
- Personal integrity when working with personal and sensitive financial information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas).
- Knowledge and experience of financial processes, reports, and software to effectively troubleshoot problems and create reports.
- Uses logic and business acumen to solve problems with effective solutions; recognizes when to escalate issues to the manager.
- Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
- Excellent customer-facing and internal communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Experience with Great Plains is a plus.
