Job Description

At Facility Management Planners (FMP), we design and implement evolutionary solutions for physical and virtual convergence, allowing for workplaces to be more comfortable, sustainable, and engaging.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our team. With a strong focus on innovation, technology, and team leadership we are looking for a skilled Project Manager to oversee and manage our facilities management technology projects. This is a customer-facing remote role, some travel will be required.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in software implementation. We are a growing firm looking for a self-motivated person who has the ability and desire to collaborate with our team and quickly adopt new concepts and technologies with the goal of delivering optimal solutions to our clients. This role must have a passion for providing 'best practices' and data solutions to meet the data and industry needs of our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully implement IWMS Software through:
    • Leading, coordinating, executing, and reporting results of multiple solution requirement tasks, utilizing both best practices and analytical techniques and processes to formulate trends and/or recommendations related to facility operations and management.
    • Technical consulting on IWMS software (SaaS & On-Premises)
      • Detailed capture and analysis of customer requirements and business processes
      • Transition of customer business processes to enable maximum ROI.
    • Precise configuration of the IWMS to align to operating procedures.
    • Thorough application testing and support.
    • Development and delivery of customized training for the customer.
  • Successfully manage project as a Project Manager by:
    • Proactive, clear, and concise communication to internal and external stakeholders on project timelines, status, and issues impacting implementation.
    • Effectively capture, monitor and/or resolve any issues, decisions, actions, and risks prior to launch.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, quality assurance, and customer support, to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Lead and manage end-to-end project implementation, including project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.
    • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports.
    • Monitor project progress and identify risks and issues, and develop and implement mitigation plans.
    • Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams, to ensure project success.
    • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal team members and external clients.
  • Staying current with trends relating to technology and subject matter applicable to the job.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in project management
  • 2+ years working from home or remote location, with minimal supervision, successfully
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, best practices. Preferred knowledge of software development cycle (SDLC), AGILE/SCRUM framework.
  • Strong business acumen in project planning and management
  • Experience working with business systems in an implementation and support capacity
  • Solid project management skills working on challenging technical, custom software implementation projects
  • Experience interpreting user needs, writing, or editing functional specifications for new systems, system changes, and/or system enhancements
  • Ability to ramp quickly and learn through any means necessary to get up to speed and maintain subject matter expertise on product and service offerings
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with international teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of and manage multiple projects and cross-functional stakeholders for delivering high-quality results.
  • Knowledge of facilities management technology, such as Archibus, Tririga and Maximo, Nuvolo, FM:Systems, PLANON etc, applications is a plus.
  • Industry knowledge of real estate, facility management, asset management and/or space planning is a plus.
