Overview:
Support the Product Management Team in the design, documentation, testing, and marketing of products. Lead the software quality assurance team to improve organization, efficiency, and thoroughness of product testing.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the planning and tracking of the Software Quality Engineers’ tasks;
- Facilitate data entry and review in a software development/bug-tracking system;
- Support the development and execution of test plans and test scripts;
- Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities;
- Participate in software design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, user-experience, and quality considerations;
- Support the technical writing department by documenting updates or suggestions for improvement based on software design and testing.
Skills and experience:
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of management, customers, suppliers, and team members;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and responsibilities;
- Minimum 5 years of experience with software validation processes;
- Demonstrate a passion for software quality and the customer;
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, C, C#, and HTML is preferred;
- Experience in design and development of automated test scripts is a plus;
- Experience with user-experience (UX) design and review is a plus;
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering, or related discipline;
- ASQ Certification in Software Quality Engineering (SQE) a plus
