Description:

The Digital Media Specialist will work with all company sales staffs to increase their knowledge of, and revenue from, our available digital products. The position will also be a point of contact for clients to help maximize the value they receive from our digital platforms. This position will support area businesses with digital campaigns under the Today Media umbrella.

Requirements:

The Digital Media Specialist is responsible for tasks pertaining to the development of digital revenue and fulfillment of digital campaigns. The essential duties of this job include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide information and consultative support for digital products
  • Collaborate with sales on the creation, presentation, fulfillment and reporting of digital campaigns.
  • Work directly with clients to collect ad materials, enter create requests and gain approval of final ad sets
  • Enter insertion orders in a timely manor
  • Manage workflow to ensure that all digital orders are accurately reflected in the company’s traffic and billing system
  • Help train and motivate sales personnel about digital products
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings
  • Consult with clients via phone or in person regarding their needs for our digital platforms and monitor the performance of their campaigns
  • Stay current with emerging trends related to digital products and their use

Provide support to Management

  • Assist Digital Marketing Manager where needed
  • Prepare reports relating to revenue projections, inventory management, audience reach (traffic), etc. as needed
  • Research new digital initiatives and provide recommendations on same
  • Create digital-friendly environment among the sales teams

In addition to the essential functions listed above, the employee is expected to exercise honesty, integrity and respect with all clients and co-workers, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, demonstrate a positive attitude, communicate effectively with co-workers and clients, work with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail, respect the work environment and keep it as environmentally friendly as possible, and exercise initiative to learn new skills and tasks and to help co-workers when possible. Reliable attendance and punctuality are also required. The employee is also expected to perform such other duties and functions as required from time to time.


Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated understanding of digital platforms and relevant advertising capabilities. Computer proficiency required with general knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ability to comprehend web-based administration of online products including but not limited to Google AdWords and Google Analytics. Must have a valid driver’s license, or otherwise provide own transportation to and from work and station activities. For purposes of identification and in lieu of a driver’s license, a state issued picture ID is required.
