Estimated Hours: 20 hours/week

Pay rate: Unpaid

Program Description: Cabarrus Health Alliance is seeking a dynamic and motivated Social Media Marketing Intern to join our team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to gain hands-on experience in the field of digital marketing while contributing to the promotion of public health initiatives. The selected candidate will work closely with the marketing team, under the supervision of the marketing manager, learning and applying social media strategies to enhance the organization's online presence.

Primary Responsibilities/Duties:

As a Social Media Marketing Intern at Cabarrus Health Alliance, your primary responsibilities may include:

  • - Content Creation: Develop engaging and relevant content for various social media platforms, aligning with the organization's goals and target audience.

  • - Social Media Management: Schedule and publish posts on different social media channels, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding.

  • - Audience Engagement: Interact with the audience by responding to comments, messages, and mentions, fostering a sense of community and addressing inquiries.

  • - Campaign Support: Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of social media marketing campaigns to promote public health initiatives and events.

  • - Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze social media metrics, providing insights into the performance of campaigns and suggesting improvements based on data.

  • - Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and social media best practices to contribute innovative ideas and strategies.

  • - Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and communication team, and other relevant departments to ensure cohesive and effective communication across all channels.

  • - Graphic Design Assistance: Support the creation of visual content or collaborate with the marketing manager to ensure visually appealing and on-brand materials.

  • - Reporting: Compile monthly reports on social media performance, highlighting key metrics and insights, and present findings to the marketing team.


Education/Experience Requirements: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate program pursuing Communications, Marketing, or Graphic design. Experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge Requirements:

  • - Detail-oriented

  • - Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • - Familiarity with major social media platforms

  • - Basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting

  • - Creative mindset with a passion for public health initiatives is a plus
