What We Are Looking For

Marketing and Communications Coordinator

A creative professional with the ability to develop marketing communications through multiple platforms.  Someone who can independently develop and deliver Company messaging through these platforms on a consistent basis in a way that achieves the Company marketing and branding goals.  Someone who operates with integrity, respect, and is proud of their ethics and work product.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Maintain knowledge of WestPac/Virtus products and capabilities and understand how these products and capabilities fit into the commercial insurance marketplace.
  2. Develop external communications and branding objectives in collaboration with Marketing and Executive Leadership.
  3. Responsible for creation of Company marketing and communications content including but not limited to e-mail marketing, promotional material development, social media marketing, and website development.
  4. Identify e-mail marketing platforms that allow the Company to best achieve its reach, click rate, and messaging objectives.
  5. Maintain customer management systems and email marketing contact databases.
  6. Develop Company website as a project manager liaison, communicating regularly with IT, 3rd party developers, and management. Development responsibilities to be handled internally as deemed possible.
  7. Manage communication on Company website including recent news, product changes, and any other content items requiring updates.
  8. Prepare all marketing materials and collateral for outbound marketing functions.
  9. Create and maintain promotional item inventory system.
  10. Develop the Company’s internal/employee communications plans and programs.
  11. Provide organizational support and coordination of special events – meetings, board meetings, client trips, receptions/social events, corporate and event sponsorships/conventions.
  12. Support and participate on ad hoc projects and committees as needed.
  13. Perform other functions as assigned by management.

 

What you must have:

  1. Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. 3 years’ experience in public relations, marketing, or advertising in which primary responsibilities included writing, project management, and support of marketing and PR campaigns.
  3. Graphic design experience preferred.
  4. Prior insurance industry experience preferred but not necessary.
  5. Proven quality writing and proofreading skills.
  6. Superior organizational and interpersonal skills.
  7. Strong proficiency with social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and others.
