Senior Manager, Marketing

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager, Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategy, communications plans, and marketing operations for IMA’s business development activities and IMA’s thought leadership and educational offerings: global events, education products, research reports, and Strategic Finance magazine. This position reports to the SVP, Marketing & Communications. This is a hybrid role with 2 days in the office in Montvale, NJ. Ability to travel domestically approximately 2-3 times/year.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Corporate and Academic Business Development Marketing
- Execute B2B digital marketing, focusing on email and social media, to generate leads
- Collaborate with corporate and academic BD teams to develop new marketing collateral
- Manage and execute annual marketing activities for academic and student programs, including scholarships, competitions, and awards
- Coordinate projects for the BD team as needed, including shipment of materials to trade shows
- IMA Global Events
- Lead the full end-to-end planning and execution of all marketing activities for IMA’s global events: Accounting & Finance Conference, Student Leadership Conference, Women’s Leadership Summit, and Annual Meeting of Members, and other types of events such as with local chapters.
- Create communications strategy, develop email, social media, landing page copy, etc., determine digital and print design needs, and activate on-site
- Work cross-functionally with Brand team, Conferences & Events team, regional teams, and other internal stakeholders
- Education Product Marketing
- Support the development and planning of marketing campaigns to launch new educational products offered by IMA’s Professional Learning and Career Advancement (PLCA) team, such as continuing education courses, certificate programs, and webinars
- Develop and execute a cross-channel marketing plan utilizing communications platforms such as web, email, print, and social media. Promote and drive utilization of key member benefits and products
- Ongoing marketing and promotional support for PLCA products throughout their lifecycle, including offers such as seasonal and year-end campaigns
- Work with copywriting, design, user experience (UX), social media, and other functional areas to develop collateral for IMA products and services, including website and online store
- Research Reports and Thought Leadership
- Develop and execute cross-channel marketing plans, utilizing communications platforms such as web, email, print, and social media
- Support the development of survey communications to members
- Ensure alignment of research report communications with organizational content calendar
- Coordinate marketing activities related to Strategic Finance magazine
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of marketing project management experience
- B2C and B2B experience preferred
- Experience in implementing and optimizing multi-channel campaigns, working closely with design, communications, and/or product teams. Marketing automation campaign experience a plus
- Ability to lead internal copywriters and designers in developing creative assets
- Global marketing experience or experience working at a membership association a plus
- Proficiency in Canva, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to create tools and templates to successfully manage ongoing projects
- High degree of proactive planning, tactful diplomacy, and collaboration skills required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-starter, highly motivated, and results-driven
