Job Summary

The Repatriation Case Manager will provide case management and supportive services to US citizens getting ready to return to their home country to ensure safe repatriation occurs. The CM will work in collaboration with program staff to cultivate a client-centered and trauma-informed approach to service provisions. Will also facilitate the delivery of reintegration services utilizing a network NGO agency.

Essential Functions:

  1. Assessing needs and determining what services and supports are most appropriate for the client and their family.
  2. Short-term case management with a focus on screening and making appropriate referrals for clients when returning to home country.
  3. Provide crisis support services directly, as needed, to ensure clients’ safety and well-being in a crisis situation.
  4. Comply with policies and procedures governing the program and ensure that the program is operating at maximum efficiency.
  5. Maintain case records in compliance with professional standards and applicable laws.
  6. Coordinate with in-country service partners to identify and secure access to case-specific repatriation services.
  7. Actively establish, enhance, and maintain liaison relationships with key government agencies, and non-profits/community organizations.
  8. Occasionally provides evening and weekend coverage as needed.
  9. Commitment to the organizational mission.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Level: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Human Services, or other relevant behavioral science required. Additional degree/course work in related fields desirable.
  • Two years prior experience in social worker positions (e.g., child welfare) with direct contact with clients is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills. 
  • Bilingual (multiple languages a plus)
  • FEMA courses a plus.
