Medical Assistant

We are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant at Steven Silverman MD, you will work closely with our healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient care and clinic operations.

Responsibilities:

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures.

Take and record patient medical history, vitals, and other essential information.

Prepare examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and availability of supplies.

Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.

Collect specimens, and conduct routine procedures.

Provide patient education on medications, diet, and lifestyle changes.

Schedule patient appointments, coordinate referrals, and manage medical records.

Handle administrative tasks such as managing medical supplies.

Adhere to medical protocols, guidelines, and safety standards.

Pursue continuous professional development and keep up-to-date with medical advancements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized Medical Assistant program is preferred.

Prior experience as a Medical Assistant is highly valued.

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and common medical procedures.

Proficiency in conducting basic laboratory tests and procedures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, providing compassionate patient care.

Highly organized with exceptional multitasking abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare team.

Experience in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems is preferred.

Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality.

Current CPR certification is required.
