Job Title: Communications Marketing Manager

Location: Mostly remote, with occasional in-office meetings at a Verizon Hub

Work Schedule: Regular business hours within your time zone

Position Type: Contractual

About the Role: The Communications Marketing Manager will join the Verizon Business Group Customer Experience team. This role primarily involves managing external customer communications for business clients, ranging from small enterprises to large corporations. While predominantly virtual, this position may require occasional face-to-face meetings at a Verizon office, typically once or twice a month, depending on location. The ideal candidate will have experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and possess a strong background in customer communications management.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage communication projects for customer email and SMS communications within the Verizon Business Group.
  • Audit and optimize high-volume communication templates for B2B customers, ensuring completeness, accuracy, brand compliance, and journey optimization.
  • Design, build, and test digital emails, SMS campaigns, and ad-hoc communications using Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Enterprise Manager.
  • Develop and maintain Adobe Enterprise Manager design templates for email and SMS communications.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of emails, incorporating responsive design, dynamic content, variable data, and advanced testing.
  • Proactively identify process improvements and stay abreast of industry best practices in customer communications management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including database marketing, digital lifecycle strategy, CRM campaign, product marketing, operations, MarTech, IT, and sales to implement communication plans and enhance capabilities.
  • Advocate for best practices in A/B testing, communication composition, and program setup.
  • Work with technical and Martech teams to develop customer-facing digital communications, leveraging data and technology to drive incremental growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Adobe Enterprise Manager.
  • Proficiency in producing communications within Adobe Enterprise Manager.
  • Experience in digital marketing, particularly in email and SMS communications.
  • Strong communicator, flexible, resourceful, self-directed, and deadline-driven.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with mobile, desktop, and tablet email clients, web technologies, and relational databases.
  • Adobe Certified Professional preferred.
  • Agency experience and digital marketing certification are advantageous.
