Principle Functions: The Donor Relations Specialist is a critical part of the Advancement Team. This role is primarily responsible for supporting the cultivation of new donors, developing, and managing donor engagement processes and procedures, supporting in the planning, and managing of donor events, and managing donor data collection. This position requires proactive customer service skills alongside a deep understanding, or capacity to learn, the numerous challenges facing underserved women and families across Texas, and the ability to articulate those issues to donors while building and maintaining strong relationships.

 

Qualifications:

· Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord

· Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of life and sexual purity

· Agree with and be willing to uphold The Source’s Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith, and other policies

· Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Business Admin., Ministry, Sociology, or another related field

· Excellent computer application skills are necessary (CRM-Customer Relationship Management, MS Office, Canva, and Mailchimp).

· Must be self-motivated, dependable, and responsible

· Must be organized and detail oriented

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while working in a group.

· Exhibit effective communication both verbal and written

· Have the ability to select, develop and motivate people while creating a positive work and volunteer environment

· Must be flexible and have well developed interpersonal skills

· Keep information confidential

· Demonstrate compassion, cheerfulness, and professionalism.

· Have sales/marketing experience.

 

Essential Job Functions

· Manage donor engagement and recognition through creation and implementation of touchpoints such as donor events, sending personalized thank you notes and gifts, and coordinating special opportunities for direct contact.

· As needed, help facilitate meetings, place calls, and follow up on donor meetings.

· Track and monitor gift solicitations from verbal and written pledges to gifts received and closed by Midlevel donors (occasionally support Development Director with recording pledges for Major and Mega donors).

o Ensure that these gifts are credited to the accurate accounts keeping donor profile information up to date in the donor pipeline process.

· Identifying donors with capacity and inclination to increase their financial support. Working with the Development Director on moves management strategy (focusing primarily on moving some mass level donors to midlevel or midlevel donors to major donors).

· Manage outstanding pledges and interface with donors as needed with Development Team.

· Administrative Responsibilities: Pick up Checks from the Clinic, open mail with Director, bank deposit of checks, run Salesforce report of deposit, file deposit information in accounting files

· Write thank you notes and make thank you calls to midlevel and mass donors.

· Coordinate and organize Source Staff Thank-a-thon in collaboration with the Donor Information Specialist.

· Manage Source Allies by checking in with monthly donors, thinking of creative ways to engage them in a meaningful way and recruiting new monthly donors.

· Support outreach and communications to donors in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Manager, including fundraising campaigns and donor marketing materials.

· Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to develop invitations and creative ways to recognize supporters and demonstrate the value of giving to The Source.

· Ensure accuracy of publications including detailed oversight of donor information and personalized messages of gratitude.

· Support the Development Director in the planning and execution of annual fundraising events.

· Support the Development Director with church relationships and ministry fair opportunities.

· Collect patient stories and testimonials to create up to date donor communications to report regular cadence of ministry impact and important updates.

· Provide clinic tours to current and prospective donors.

· Develop proposals and cases for support to current and prospective donors sharing opportunities of support The Source based on donor interests.

· Other tasks as assigned.
