The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health at the University of Missouri-Columbia seeks a full-time Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialist at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine who will serve as the MFM Co-Director for the Fetal Care Center within our Children’s Hospital.

The ideal candidate will be nationally recognized for expertise in fetal intervention. Time will be divided between provision of care in the fetal center program and with the maternal-fetal medicine division. The Fetal Care Center is a formal multidisciplinary program dedicated to the advancement of maternal, fetal, and newborn health through the development of collaborative care as well as translational research. Working closely with the Pediatric/Fetal Surgery Co-Director, the MFM Co-Director will oversee the development of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to fetal care utilizing a fully functional and state of the art i-suite Fetal OR in our brand-new $250 Million free standing Children’s Hospital opening June 2024!

Teaching responsibilities will include involvement in student, resident, and fellow education. As educators, the MFM Division is an integral part of University of Missouri (MU) medical student and post-graduate trainee education. We have a strong long-standing ACGME-accredited OBGYN residency program accepting four residents per year. There is full support, and all necessary services and volumes present to establish a Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship, with the intent to do so once our core MFM faculty are in place.

Qualifications:
  • MD/DO
  • Board-Certified in General Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Board-Certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
  • Academic qualifications for the rank of associate professor or professor in the tenure or non-tenure clinical track.
  • Rank, competitive salary, and research start-up will be commensurate with training, academic level, and experience.
The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
