Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School History Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of historical concepts and the ability to integrate biblical principles into their teaching. They will inspire students to develop a love for history while nurturing their faith and character development.

Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive history, math or science lessons for middle school students, incorporating Christian principles and values.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore these concepts and develop critical thinking skills.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student progress through regular quizzes, tests, projects, and other forms of evaluation.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, History, Math, Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification in Washington state.
- Previous experience teaching middle school history, math or science, or related subjects is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Christian principles and their integration into curriculum development.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Monroe Christian School.
