Immediate opening in our Northeast Tennessee based company for a strong seasoned financial leader. This position is responsible for overseeing all accounting-related activities and playing a crucial role in the financial health and management of the company. The following are some of the other assigned duties.
Controller Job Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in the accounting area of the company.
- Maximizes return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
- Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
- Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
- Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
- Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Monitor bank balances and oversees bank reconciliation.
- Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, & advising management on needed actions.
- Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
- Produces monthly financial statements
- Reviews and discusses financial priorities with key leadership
This is an upper management position working full-time Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with full benefits and reports directly to the President of the company.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting/finance
- Experience with financial reporting requirements
