The Leelanau Enterprise, an award-winning weekly newspaper at both the state and national levels, is hiring a Publisher. We're seeking a visionary leader to drive our publication's revenue growth, editorial direction, audience expansion, and community engagement.

Located on the picturesque Leelanau Peninsula in Michigan, our team enjoys the beauty of being surrounded by Lake Michigan, numerous inland lakes, orchards, vineyards, and scenic views around every corner.

Our Publisher will:

• Lead the editorial team to produce compelling content that resonates with our readers.
• Manage business development initiatives to increase revenue through advertising and subscriptions.
• Forge strong connections with local businesses, organizations, and readers to ensure our publication remains a vital community resource.
• Oversee budgeting and resource allocation to support our goals effectively.
• Drive digital innovation to enhance our online presence and engagement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience in publishing or journalism, with a strong leadership track record.
• Excellent writing, editing, and strategic planning skills.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Familiarity with digital publishing platforms is a plus.
