Nashville Banner |
Tennessee has become ground zero for the fight about the future of public education. Often, that fight – about vouchers, charter schools and funding – is political and divorced from educational outcomes and the experiences of students and teachers. That’s where the Banner’s education reporter comes in. This reporter digs into K-12 education in Metro Nashville Public Schools, private schools in the county and state policy to help readers understand and make choices about their children’s education. Salary and Benefits: $50,000-$55,000 Medical, vision, and dental insurance provided at no cost to employee. Unlimited paid leave policy plus 11 paid holidays. Company-issued laptop. This position will be: Hybrid (some days in the office per week) Moving Stipend: Up to $2,000 |
This position is sponsored in part by Report for America, a national service program that places journalists in local newsrooms to report on under-covered issues and communities. Report for America is an initiative of The GroundTruth Project. All Report for America Newsroom Partners are Equal Opportunity Employers.
