Editor

The Celina Daily Standard is seeking a Managing Editor to oversee the print and online content of our newspaper. Editor candidates must be familiar with daily deadlines and have strong editing and leadership skills. 

The Editor will join a seasoned and self-motivated staff of eight in the editorial department who are adept at meat-and-potatoes community journalism, entertainment and informative features wrapped a captivating design.

The future Editor should have experience in the trenches of community journalism, a background in covering government, schools and agriculture. This head of the editorial department should be eager to edit tons of copy and proof pages.

We are looking for an editor who wants to join the team that won APME’s Award of General Excellence in 2021.

The Daily Standard is celebrating 175 years of bringing local news to it's readers as an independent, family owned newspaper published six days a week.
