Senior Graphic Designer
Summary of Duties:
The Senior Graphic Designer works to conceptualize, develop, design, and prepare original graphic designs, layouts, and images for Northwest Public Broadcasting that adhere to established brand guidelines. This position will also further expand and establish more complete brand guidelines for the station’s brand. Duties include but are not limited to: establishing and upholding brand identity in all visuals across all platforms for Northwest Public Broadcasting, creating original designs for print, web, and video within brand guidelines for various campaigns and initiatives, create mock-ups and proofs in electronic and printed formats, and coordinate printing design files with printers. The Senior Graphic Designer will also help establish processes for design review, approval, and other workflow needs. Senior Graphic Designer will work collaboratively with Director of Marketing, Digital Producer, Director of Content and others to develop goals, strategies, and processes for design projects.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, multi-media, printing technology, or related field AND a minimum of five (5) years full-time professional experience in concept development and design of high quality promotional materials. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Demonstrated technical experience in graphic design for print, web, and video.

Demonstrated experience applying high standards of typography and creative design techniques to strategically communicate different messages.

Demonstrated experience conceptualizing, producing, and executing graphic work for campaigns in collaboration with other creatives.

Experience working with marketing professionals, writers, editors, web designers, web developers, photographers, and videographers.

Proficiency in publishing software including, but not limited to the current versions of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator.

Comfortable working with Microsoft Suite.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, and ability to quickly learn and apply changing graphic design and publishing technologies.

Demonstrated ability to excel in a collaborative environment and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of motion graphics and 2D animation.

Experience leading and establishing brand guidelines.
Monthly Salary:
$4,508.70 - $6,199.47 | Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range.
