We’re looking for a natural-born storyteller and social media addict to join Humankind’s team to help the positive news franchise write and produce stories about acts of kindness, out of the ordinary triumphs and special relationships. If you are passionate about short and mid form videos and can turn on feels at the drop of a hat through your storytelling and social savviness, we need you!
The Humankind Writer/Producer will work alongside Humankind’s production staff to find, write and produce compelling positive videos. The ideal candidate MUST have writing and producing experience with a digital brand and on social platforms.
They will be tasked with finding, pitching and writing original feel-good storylines in the form of video. The Writer/Producer will find and pitch positive stories that align with the Humankind brands (Humankind, Militarykind, Animalkind, Sportskind, Womankind), reach out and perform video interviews, collect photo and video assets for each story, write text on screen scripts, produce videos alongside a video editor, optimize different versions for different social platforms, write social language and collect metrics.
The ideal candidate is excited to see the brand’s content go viral and passionate about the success of the Humankind brand across all platforms. The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent communication skills, is quick to respond and receptive to feedback. The roles and responsibilities may also include social media channel management for any of the Humankind brands.
We have offices in NY, LA, Atlanta and DC, but we are open to other locations and remote scenarios for the right candidate.
