Are you equally passionate about front-end and back-end development? The Poynter Institute for Media Studies is seeking a Full-Stack Developer who is skilled at writing PHP, JS, and CSS to bridge the gap between front-end and back-end technologies. The Full-Stack Developer will interpret UX/UI wireframes and prototypes and oversee the product development life cycle from concept through execution on a small and nimble web team.
Poynter’s media website and other digital products are recognized industry leaders providing journalism content, and educational resources in key subject areas including leadership, ethics, fact-checking, media literacy, local news, broadcast and multimedia and a variety of modes for online learning. This role will be a key collaborator on the in-house web team working through a backlog of projects based on a roadmap of product milestones to ensure functional, well written code and timely release of successful projects.
Our ideal candidate is an analytical problem solver who has WordPress and agile/scrum experience and is adept at anticipating requirements and providing insights into planning solutions.
